The watchman

You live in a gated apartment society in a tier-2 Indian city. There are six watchmen across two shifts. The one on the night shift, Bhola, has been there for nine years - older now, slower, but everyone in the society knows him. He waves at the children. He keeps an eye on cars. He has held packages for you when you've been late getting home.
